may sound stupid but i can't figure out how to burn dvd's in the right format to watch on my dvd player, whenever i burn it, it burns in data format instead of just burning dvd format, i'm using dvd-rw and i want it to record so i can watch it on my dvd player, any help?

wmp [media player], put in the blank dvd, click the burn tab, switch it over to data cd/dvd and it just burns it as data

Most stand alone players won't play a Data DVD and Windows Media Player does not support burning movies to video DVD discs. What kind of files are you trying to burn?

maybe the better way to get info from schyl is to pm him, and maybe see if he has an instant message account, that way he might be able to talk you through it...

instead of waiting hours/days till he logs on again LOL

    just a suggestion...
