For a Saw Trilogy Cover Set I did here is how I put it together.

    1. First case size I decided to use 3370 X 2175 for each case ( 1inch spine)

    2. So background image needed to be 3970 X 2175 to allow for the extra 2 spines.

    3. Locate the spines with guides, add spine image on a new layer, decide how it will be blended.

    4. Create new layers for each spine overlay, slice up spine image layer and add it to the correct spine overlay layer.

    5. You should have one background layer now and three spine overlay layers correctly located at each cover position on the background.

    6. Now by setting these layers on one at a time, with the background you can see each cover across the background.

    7. By selecting 3370X2175 centered over each spine, then copying merged, and creating a new image you can get your final background for each cover, move it to your template of choice and your ready to go.
